Plain and chubby women are just as pretty and sexy to the men that prefer their attributes, and there are plenty of men that do. So don't focus on your self doubts that might unknowingly construct walls around yourself to protect your heart from feeling rejection.

I echo the sentient of Athena :) No-one can truly love someone until a bond has taken place between the two involved. Therefore, your question is null and void, because it's only lust you can really feel for someone, without meeting them. You can't love someone just by looking at their profile picture. A big difference there ;)

If you don't feel atractive people pick up on that, whatever you look like. I know a girl that is extremely pretty but just because she's put on a bit of weight recently she's developed a complex about it. When they are like that you can think that they're just not into you because they are so reserved. It doesn't matter how gorgeous someone is if they just sit there looking miserable. There's more to sexual chemistry than just looking at each other.

Athena's comments are right on the money. I might add to it by suggesting that you do things that make you happy. Then you will radiate "happiness". I found that doing volunteer work made others happy and so I was happy, happy to do it and happy that what I did mattered! All this has nothing to do with what we look like but how we feel inside!

This may sound trite to ya, but never expect what you want to happen. I know it sounds a bit reverse psychology, but I've found that if I don't expect anything, I'm never dissapointed with the result. It can be hit and miss as to who will be truly interested in spending time with you. I don't expect any guy to ask me on a date. So I just live expecting nothing from anyone.
