Good Afternoon Everyone
This morning as we were dropping children off at our first school drop a vehicle ran our red stop arm.
Driving this vehicle was a teacher that worked at the same school we were dropping children off at.
When we arrived at noon to pick the children up to take them home this teacher was outside waiting for us.
She approached the bus and kept apologizing to the driver for running the stop arm, over and over again she went on.
The driver kept saying
*It's Okay*...*It's okay, I'll accept your apology*
I have a serious problem with this.
We were told this morning that this particular teacher runs stop arms
ALL the time.
My Problems With This:
1)
IT IS NEVER OKAY TO RUN A SCHOOL BUS STOP ARM FOR ANY REASON!
2) She is a teacher and should know better than most about how to drive around a school and a school bus.
3) She should have been told by the driver that this was
NOT ACCEPTABLE, that as a teacher she should be setting an example.
People put their trust in these people when their children are placed in their care. I do not care if the children were not crossing the road or not, she should have never ran the STOP ARM!! PERIOD!!! Children know that when a school bus is stopped and the red lights are on and the arm is out, it is okay for them to cross the road near the bus. What if a child had been across the street and darted in front of this teacher as she ran the arm???
All I can say is this:
She better hope she does NOT run MY STOP ARM!
I will not be so kind to her about it.
I will be blunt and straight to the point!
She will in fact KNOW THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!
Once I am done with her, I will be radioing or calling transportation to report her as well.
NOT ON MY WATCH!!!
OK RANT OVER
