Do men really draw a line at size 12? I am seeing a pattern where as soon as the men on this site realise I am a size 16,interest wanes xx

Personal preferences are necessary as men and women are free to present as obese or anorectic but each is accountable to others perceptions. The greatest number of men seek a size 6 to 8 while others are less particular. Its best to be realistic in ones own expectations and let others have their preferences just as you undoubtedly have yours and are free to make similar calls with regards others too.

"You are your own worst critic." indifferent

I'm a man and if a woman has curves equivalent to a straight line my interest wanes like wee-wee.

Curves are sexy.

The whole "thin is perfection" stereotype is ridiculous.

Maybe mention in your profile text that you're a curvy woman? But by all means phrase it in a positive fashion. That way they'll know and will spare you the stress of having to deal with such men.

You are absolutely right. I used 'body mass' to avoid upsetting people who might find other terms such as 'fat', 'big', 'overweight' etc a bit too much!

Men and women alike have boundaries on the size of the people they are attracted to, attraction has a will of it's own and is not just based on physical appearance...Even though I say in my profile that my only requirement is "Be yourself", I would not KNOWINGLY become romantically involved with a man who was living an unhealthy lifestyle because we would have little in common....However, attaching size to attractiveness is just plain stooopid....

Yeah; its been my experience that most men want a small thin woman. Myself, I am curvy as well as muscular; so men are not attracted to me. Its all good though as I feel good in my own skin and its my opinion of me that counts; not theirs.

It's all about preference. I am skinny and always have been. Some prefer bigger women. Some prefer skinny. I have heatd as many skinny jokes as others may have heard fat jokes. The grass is NOT always greener on the other side

If you think you are unhealthy, lose weight for you, not for some guy. If you are happy with you, wait and find some guy who is happy with you.

Worry won't fix anything.

Not sure, as US UK AUS sizes are all different, yet you all use 8 10 12 14 16
so very confusing. You guys make life so difficult!

But if the chart I saw is correct, I'm 14/16 US (44/46 EU size) and I don't really give a toss. I'm 5 foot 10, so it's not like you can roll me through the garden.

I could get it down to what I used to be, 12 US (42 EU size) Can't get below that, cos my hips remained slightly wider after my second baby :)
Used to have size 10/12 US. Anything below that would be anorexic for me, as I'm tall.
(Had a size 8 US for a short while, but then I look like I've died 3 years ago.)
So anyone judging by size only, isn't even worth my time, as it's meaningless (so is weight btw). Size 8 might look great for one, but god awful on another.

If I'd go back to size 12, my breasts will also reduce size, meaning they'll start to sag, and in spite of my 49 yrs of age, they don't yet. And I like to keep it that way.
And I'd get wrinkles, I don't want that either. Ppl usually think I'm 8-10 yrs younger than my actual age. Like to keep it that way too.
So any man who has a problem with my size 14/16 ... Shrug and move on to someone who is worth my time.

*It's not like most men who whinge about that sort of thing are god's gift to women themselves, so what gives them the right to complain?*

 Those men are usually short, obese, bald and highly insecure but for some reason they think they deserve supermodels.
