There is no good way to say goodbye...For me, it does matter because no matter how you say or do it, someone is probably going to get hurt...sad2

Probably, a "wise" way of saying "good-bye" could be:

"I'll be leaving with this languid soul of mine, in this night of weariness, to be renewed with a fresher gladness of awakening." :-)

Think of that song from 'the sound of music'

So long, farewell
Auf Weidersehen, goodbye

I was referencing the song. It is from the sound of music. A musical film and stage play starring Julie Andrews. Ostensibly it was sung by the jewish Von Trapp family on stage with the Nazis waiting to pick them up after the performance, they managed to sneak out anyway and trek to safety over the alps into Austria. very exciting for a Disney of that era.

I think had they said good bye in any other way, their escape plan would have been imperiled!!

keep that in mind my Celtic friend :)

I know what the film is about, as my mum used to drive me and my brother crazy with the amount of times she put the video of it on,when we were younger! Can't stand the film now though! bigsmile flowerforyou

with a very heavy French Canadian accent.... no Mon Cheri.... don't look back.
only forward... no no my sweet..
u mustn't cry... this, this, is not goodbye.. it is only au revoir.. until we meet again Mon Cheri....
.. I shall remember you fondly..
.. until the day I leave this world and go to the next..... no no Cheri.. dry your tears.... you promised me! you would be strong... for the both of us..
.... now Kiss Kiss Bang Bang... I see my bus is coming...lol

I don't do goodbyes.

I do give a middle finger salute to those I do not like.

So I guess it is a in person and never in text.

no good in goodbye

No matter how it falls apart
There's an "art" in breaking hearts
But there's no "fair" in farewell, no
And I see you in the street
I pray to God you don't see the silent hell in I wish you well

It's always best to say it in person, unfortunately it's not always practical.....or safe....or possible....or rational....Know what I mean jellybean?....
