Disappointed... King's day in the Netherlands means that there are freemarkets all over --> anyone can sell their own second-hand stuff without needing a permit. Ppl put down an blanket on the pavement and display their goodies. You can get anything from crockery, toys, clothes, books, kiddie bicycles etc.
Basically looks like this:
This is a Dutch tradition and always a lot of fun, the hustle and bustle, ppl drinking the traditional "orange bitter" in the morning (alcoholic beverage) etc.
So I just went out to see what is going on in this village. I never checked it out as I'm always active in the village I used to live in, where I do the gig tonight as well.
Well.. spectacular... NOTHING!
No one in the streets, it looked like a bloody ghosttown?!
The freemarket is in the sportfields OUTSIDE the village. There were 6 ppl selling toys and some books. Wow! I had to make an effort to spend 5 minutes there.
I'm gonna be my usual self and send the organisation an email about this, lol.
