when I was younger and a lot fitter..
.. I had a part time night job..
.... that relied heavily upon the way I looked.. and how I presented myself..
...... that part didn't really bother me..
... what bothered me was all those hands grabbing at me.. women there animals I tell you..

Yep, when I worked in a pub for extra money, when I brought my oldest boy up myself. The manageress told me straight away that I was hired, just by looking at me. Found out though that she just liked younger guys around her bar and was reluctant to hire women, as she would see them as competition. She wasn't even good-looking either. Lasted 3 months in that job until I got a better paid one on a building site!

When I interviewed for an accounting job with a commercial photographic agency, I was photographed during the first interview...Several months into the job, I asked my employer why the photo and he said, "In this business image is everything."...surprised Wow, I didn't think that kind of hiring requirement was even legal, but I guess legalities are determined by the type of job you are seeking...I was OK with it though because it was my dream job!

Yes that 'image is everything' is an advantage to them & a positive outcome to the company....when they see you they see the best ways how they can make themselves more financial gain by hiring you & the image might help to a great extent

I went for an interview to be a bus driver one time.
They asked, why do you think you'd be good at this job
I replied 'cos I'm always late'ohwell

Back in my twenties I used to work in a lot of local nightclubs...looks was the main reason you would get hired...I worked in that scene for a good 5 years then decided to go to school and focus on something I could do that required something other than looks...looks don't last forever...glad I did too..lost my patience and tolerance of being approached by drunk men as well...all in all I can say it was a good time but I have found I like being appreciated for my skills and talents above being nice looking... flowerforyou

One of my first jobs was in an office, I would have only been about 17 yrs old. I was shy and nervous - so really took care about how I looked. I got the job. Only the boss and me in this office. In the first week he tells me that I wear way too much clothing.

hhhmmm I got out of there pretty quick
