I am creating this topic for those of us who appreciate the finer things in life, such as an upscale beautiful home, a beautiful man or woman, vintage wine, sports cars, antique furniture, jewelry, art, Persian carpets, and not necessarily in that order. happy

What finer things in life do you appreciate or enjoy? Are you a collector? Going from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Share with us.

Here are some of my faves to start us off.

Mine is motorcycles. but just Harleys. I enjoy finding old ones.. or unique ones restoring them.. sometimes selling them.. sometimes keeping them... riding them.

It has nothing to do with the money.. its therapeutic.. a stress release.. and fun.

I'm back. Just call me the original gangsta M! Big Mabel tried to make me her b*t*ch but I was having none of that. Now, I'm even meaner and leaner than when I first got in. Watch out!!!

To celebrate my freedom, I am breaking out the Cristal champagne. $1,000 per bottle, my homeys!

I am feeling generous! Let's drink the vintage Louis Roederer Cristal, price tag of $3,499! I "borrowed" DevilDog's credit card for this one. drinker

I don't really do upscale. It's not my thing. Unless you're talking about vintage firearms. That's a completely different ballgame. For example, my 1861 model .44 caliber Colt Army. That is a beautiful work of art.

I could afford that Champagne, but I'd rather buy 90 bottles of Moet & Chandon, Champagne for the same price as one of those bottles of Cristal and have a massive party with all my pals?

Luxury flying car to hit market in 2017

A company in Europe is getting closer to bringing a flying car to the roads and skies. AeroMobil, based in Slovakia, said it is close to obtaining a license for its prototype called AeroMobil 3.0, which it will be showing off at the Top Marques Monaco auto show in April.
The two-seat vehicle converts from a light sport plane with retractable wings to a four-wheel car that runs on gasoline instead of kerosene. That means you can fill it up at a regular gas station.

The company said it can hit just about 100 mph on the road and just under 125 mph in the sky. Its range is about 500 miles.

Chief designer and CTO Stefan Klein and CEO Juraj Vaculik, the co-founders of AeroMobil, envision the production version of the vehicle to be a high-end luxury runabout available to wealthy buyers in 2017.

"I strongly believe that AeroMobil will inspire new ways of thinking about personal travel," Vaculik said in a statement. "Our company is set to reinvent the flying car without constraints and deliver excitement through unique technical solution and design."

Klein and Vaculik teamed up in 2010, but the project has been development since 1989 when Klein, then head of the Department of Transport Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Slovakia, began tinkering with a flying car concept.

If you could afford this car and could operate it, wouldn't you offer me a ride?
