New Jersey's Most Expensive Home Listing

Alpine, New Jersey (My9NJ) -Chaser Jillian Jablonski went to Alpine, in the northeast corner of New Jersey, to find the most expensive home listing in the state.
The stone house at 18 Frick Drive sits on 6 acres.

The main house is 30,000 square feet on five floors, with 12 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, an 11-car garage, an indoor basketball court with locker room, an in-home movie theater, a 4,000-bottle wine cellar, an elevator, a ballroom, a carpeted garage, and more.

The house was originally listed at $68 million in 2010 and now the price has been reduced to $49 million.

An estimated mortgage would be $234,313 a month but we're betting anyone buying this would use cash.

What you can't get away from are New Jersey's notorious property taxes, which are estimated to be $304,080 a year!

I'd give a good try :) I'm into quite a few classy things. It depends on what. Though, let's just say, where I currently live, if I bought a nice car, it wouldn't be worth the damage that nuisances would do to it. Three months living anywhere, is enough to figure out who does what. And boy do I know. laugh

I am creating this topic for those of us who appreciate the finer things in life, such as an upscale beautiful home, a beautiful man or woman, vintage wine, sports cars, antique furniture, jewelry, art, Persian carpets, and not necessarily in that order. happy

What finer things in life do you appreciate or enjoy? Are you a collector? Going from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Share with us.

I can't think of anything, I guess I don't appreciate the finer things in life... should I  or should I sad

I like a really good cuppa tea.
Really nice, but small/understated jewelery.
really good ice cream...
other than that, I dont go for the 'expensive' material type stuff really.
I found a free stretch of beach with my kid once. best things in life are free. some stuff that costs a little can be pretty awesome too, but not just cuz its 'fine'.

^this....nice post KLC

A beautiful breezy day at the beach or woodland hike are among the finer things to me...a cozy Christmas with enough gifts to go around, front porch sittin' where the scenery is well...scenic :)

a quiet engine on a car that handles well (or a loud one if it's tuned well) lol
