I was reading the post titled "How The World's Oldest Person Is Celebrating Her 116th Birthday", and contained within IamwhoIam1 wrote about family trees....

It got me thinking about long gone family members and their stories.....
From memories of my grandparents spooky old farmhouse with the locked room all us kids and our cousins were forbidden to enter....

The story of how grandad and his brother ran away from home at 15 and stowed away on a ship bound for the southern hemisphere.....

Leaving all that family history behind in England....

Some of my family have done the hard work with this, and traced us back to 1750.....256 years!
I even have copies of personal dairies from 1858.....157 years ago, belonging to my great, great, great...?????...relatives.....very interesting and sadly short lives they lived....and no dating sites....

A few of my Aunts and Uncles and their kids have made the pilgrimage back to the original family estate that still stands today.....
One day I hope to as well...

Would you like to share your family tree....famous or infamous.....
don't worry about skeletons in the closet they are long gone....
I think....hehe

I don't have any stories, but my lineage has been traced back to a guy born sometime around 1800 in Ireland, and his son was the first in my direct line to show up on a US census in 1850.
