I hate the fact that people can't get out of being stuck, the person that made the comment about all the heritage carp,please stop with all the b.s., for all people with any common sense,you can not be on both side of the fence,and say your an America, and go against your own country,so that only certain people have rights,that are self serving to people that only think like you do,and you cover it up and call it something else,as though it was good for all of America,you are just making fools of yourself,because the same people would accuse you of treason. Get it right,there was no good that came from it ever,and almost broke the U.S for all the shame and cost for ignorance.

The chit that happened during the civil war runs deep, and the gap may never really be fully restored. Not any time soon anyway. And it definitely won't happen by trying to rob large part of the country of their sense of identity. Personally I think it's wrong to even attempt to do so. Feels very communist-like, which gives me the creeps.

When you rob people of their identity, you basically force them to become a different type of American. Now I ain't American, but even I can feel that goes against the grain. As if you'd get swallowed up after all. That ain't right.
Forcing to unite doesn't work anyways. Look at all the countries that did that in the past. Russia, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia etc. All fell apart. People will not be robbed of their sense of who they are.
Look at the Scottish. Will they ever feel English? I think not.
And I think the cut runs as deep in the US.

If you try to force ppl to unite, and rob them of their identity, you end up with either a war or a people without oomph and zest. The latter is very beneficial to the ones pulling the strings (Are they behind this scheme? Wouldn't surprise me.), it is NOT beneficial to mankind to have a people without bollocks.
