im ignorant then, because i haven't got the time to reply to between 60 to 80 messages a day, sometimes more.
my mailbox today stands at 139 messages, which i wont reply to.( unless they are friends and i haven't had chance to reply back yet)
if someone takes the time and writes a nice message, even if im not interested, i will write back and say thank you, but im not looking etc and all the best for the future.
i think the women get more messages than the men on here.
i don't think im ignorant, since i do reply, if they have made the effort even when im not interested.
Debbie, you are the exception to the rule. I'm new to this site but I've been actively online dating for just over a month.
I take the time to type out a thoughtful note, pulling in interests she's expressed, and sharing something new that's not on my profile. Guess what? 99% of the time it's a zero response. Yes on some sites I paid for the premium to see if it's read but many sites you can see who has viewed your profile. So you know they read it. Typically, I wait a week then post a follow up message just to give them a second chance to respond. That will be a copy past message. After another week I I block them from future searches.
My supposition... Women who get on these dating site get a rush with all the attention from random guys. Presuming they are gods gift to men and have no need for curtesy to those of us they deem insufficient.
This is the main difference in the experience (real) men and women have on these dating sites.
And a final note to all those disappointed women out there crying oh he lied to me or I dated him for a month and he was married, yadda yadda yadda... Here's a tip, if it looks too good to be true it most likely is.
I was looking for a cookie or a gold star but that one works.
