Yes he is! I mapped my route so I could meet a few minglers along the way. Unfortunately with it being Easter weekend, I'll have to wait until October to meet Dee and a few others.

The map isn't showing any construction, and I shouldn't be going through major cities, just one I think, so yes, I should make good timing.

Today was an amazing and interesting adventure! It started off with a very nice breakfast with Poetry. Sure was nice to finally meet him face to face. After packing up my stuff, I heading out for what I thought was Interstate 99 to get to Interstate 81. I had looked at two of three possible routes and decided to stick with the Interstate.

Apparently my angels had other plans for me, haha. I ended up on the third route, the one I didn't even look at. And WOW!!! Absolutely beautiful scenery. One hundred and fifty miles of going through the mountains, through cute little towns, seeing rivers and lakes, cows and horses, and going slow enough that I got to soak it all in. Once I got to flatter land I got to speed up. One spot was a little hilly, when I got to the top of it, going back down was pretty steep and I was still going fast. I felt like I was on a roller coaster and yelled "WEEEEEEE" all the way down

Then I had to get on the Interstate But it wasn't too bad today. I made great timing and got to the motel early enough to enjoy a delicious dinner, and now I'm relaxing. The motel isn't anything to write home about, fortunately I brought my own sanitizer, and bedding lol. Oh well, it was a great day, I'll not ruin it by focusing on the not so good stuff, haha.

I've always loved the mountains. I feel so alive when I'm in them, so taking the detour was exactly what I needed. I was exhausted from Friday's drive, I needed that little booster shot to get my day started.

Me too, I love traveling. It's been a long time since I've done the road trip thing. It's a little more tiring than I remember though, haha. I liked flying because it's so much faster, but then you miss out on all the wonderful things along the way.

Day 3
Woke up feeling refreshed and ready to start my day. I'm heading out a little earlier today to beat the traffic in Roanoke. Hopefully, haha. I'll be staying five nights/four days in Tennessee, I'm looking forward to taking a little break from driving.
