Did Jesus really claim deity?
On a major difference between the first three gospels — Matthew, Mark and Luke — and the last gospel, John
During his lifetime, Jesus himself didn't call himself God and didn't consider himself God, and ... none of his disciples had any inkling at all that he was God.
You do find Jesus calling himself God in the Gospel of John, or the last Gospel.
This is not an unusual view amongst scholars; it's simply the view that the Gospel of John is providing a theological understanding of Jesus that is not what was historically accurate.

In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.. and the Word became flesh.

Do you believe He was the Messiah? He said He is the Door. He is the Only Way To the Father. Do you or do you not believe Him? If you reject the Son, you can't have the Father.

Son of God
In the sense of a human father and son, Jesus is not God’s Son. God did not have a son and a marriage. God did not mate with Mary and give birth to a son with her. So, is Jesus the Son of God? He is the Son of God in the sense that He is the manifestation of the invisible God in the human form (John 1:1, 14).
The Bible often calls Jesus “the Son of God.” (John 1:49) The expression “Son of God” acknowledges that God is the Creator, or Source, of all life, including that of Jesus. (Psalm 36:9; Revelation 4:11) The Bible does not teach that God literally fathered a child in the same way that humans produce children.
The Bible also calls the angels “sons of the true God.” (Job 1:6) And the Bible says that the first human, Adam, was a “son of God.” (Luke 3:38) However, because Jesus was God’s first creation and the only one created directly by him, the Bible describes Jesus as the foremost Son of God.

Actually, the Bible says that Yeshua is the ONLY BEGOTTEN Son of God. And He is One with the Father. So, although you seem to claim He was like Adam, or any other created being, you're mistaken. In the beginning.... What is the beginning? What happened before the beginning? Either the Bible is true or it isnt. You can't pick and choose. The Bible says that Yeshua became flesh, did have an earthly mother, but was conceived of the Holy Ghost. The Father didn't physically come down and lay with a woman. He didn't need to. He formed Adam out of dust. He spoke the world into existence. And had an Only Begotten Son...Yeshua (Jesus) Messiah. If you deny the Son, you have not the Father. So stop pretending. You can't claim He was a good person and not One with the Father. Because then, you're calling Him a liar. He said the Father gave Him power to lay down His life and take it again. There is no sin in Him. He is God and man, simultaneously. To deny it, it to not have the same God I have.
