I am brand new to this site. Ive actually tried several others and have had hit or miss success just in dating nevermind a relationship. Ive had one long distance relationship that I thought was going so well. i think he got to backed into the lies that he had been telling me and he just disappeared. I was heartbroken and cynical. Reading everything on here has given me some new enthusiasm. i may even give the long distance thing a try again. Maybe not that long distance but we'll see. tahnks everyone!!

It appears there are a lot of people here that genuinly care about each other and that is a plus in my book.

I have been to many, many, many, yes i need other fingers and toes to count the countless dating sites I have been to with the one hope of meeting someone to hang out with, at first, hoping it will blossom into something more permanent.

Perhaps I was not ready at that time to let myself go, but thank God I am here to allow this to happen now from what I have read thus far.

What is success?
Is it marriage? not neccessarily
Is it a flawless fairytale relationship?
Or is it meeting someone special, falling in love , enduring all
of the normal relationship pitfalls along the way not to mention the special ones an
online LDR can bring and still be in LOVE ?

If success is the later...I guess Peccy & I belong in here because we are the epitomy of LOVE . From nearly the first moment
I met him on here (6 months ago), I knew there was a connection. Call it chemistry if you will...but, we connected
like magnets and formed a bond that will linger in our hearts forever, no matter the outcome. No, our
relationship has not been without the rough spots. But, through it all our love seems to keep shining through.
Will we make it? Who can tell? We certainly hope so and we are certainly striving for that. But, regardless, yes, we
have found love here and now it is up to US to make it a success!

For those who do not know us here are a few answers to some questions and doubts we have had to endure.

1. How can you say you are in love when you havn't met yet (said before we met)?

Because love is a feeling and we felt it!

2. LDR's never work!

Yes, some do but not without dedication and LOVE. Look around at some of the other success stories. Don't make judgments, all relationships are different. Some
will make it, others won't.

3. What if you meet and it doesn't work?

Well...ummm we die! HA! No, we move on...this is part of life...life is not without risks. Anyway we done blew that theory out the window. PECCY & ANGEL had an AWESOME
2 weeks together!

4. What will you do after you meet? Who will move? Well, all of this was discussed by us way before we met as it should be. Peccy will move here if and when we decide to close the gap.

5. You cannot fall in love online!

BULL! (all I got to say to that one!)

Ok...just wish us luck and know that you can make anything possible with LOVE and DEDICATION

I second that. I had the same thrown at me. We finally met after talking for 16 months and we knew we loved each other before we met and he is coming here to be with me soon. So, lilangel2, we have the same theory. I am happy for both of you and wish you all the happiness in the world. As for my success story, I will be ready to post it up here real soon, but guess it is already a success story, but will wait until everything gets going before I post better news.
I am glad he found me on JSH, I may have never found him.

well here it is...
in august of 2007 i started talking to a guy.. he was sweet, and nice, and a great friend!! we remained friends, helping each other through some rough relationships and tough times.... talking every day.. well about 6 months later we realized that we were talking every day first and last person.. and couldnt get enough of each other.. we still didnt want to enter into a relationship because he only lives about 3 hours from me, but he works in another state... gone for 6 to 12 weeks at a time...
well we have been officaly dating for the last 6.5 months.. we have spent a few wonderful weekends together.. with a few weeks together planed for next month *fingers crossed*

i plan to move near where he lives in feb if all goes well.. he has met my children, and my family, they all adore him...

as for me.. i have taken down my protective walls.. i have given my heart to him.. he has given his to me...

i am completely in love..

we met on this site..
and will be forever grateful..

To moderator/Vanchau...is there a way you can share the statistics on the information obtained....for example..the number of people that have successfully met online in relation to the number of people that want to meet online...I'm curious to know what the statistics would be not only for this site but for other sites as well...I suspect this site is moderately better than industry average and significantly better than plentyoffish..i.e. free sites

i want to say thank you to the people at mingle2.com because i have found my perfect match. when i started talking with danielle everything just kinda clicked and since then we have been talking for hours on end and cant wait to be with each other ( im currently deployed overseas to iraq). thanks mingle2!

Well Ladies & Gentlemen here is another wonderful success story. I met (Marilyn) Soul2Search on here on about Aug 25th or so and I sent her an email and she responded. We sent each other about 4 emails each then gave phone #'s out and talked our first night starting at about 10am on saturday morning and did not hang up the phone until sunday morning at 10am. We talked for more than 24 hours and continued sharing parts of our lives with each other. On Sept. 15th her and her daughter came to be with me here in Alaska from Montana. The relationship has developed greatly and we want to thank the guys ((Matt, Mike, & Vanchau) for Mingle. GOOD LUCK TO ALL. And don't forget: "MINGLE IS MADE FROM THE BEST PEOPLE ON EARTH!!!" :) :)
