I think the interpretations are age dependent, and generational, and cultural.

A 20 - 30 - 40 year old wanting an 'activity partner', is probably not meaning only innocent play and beach walks and tiddlywinks forever.

But an older - say 70 plus person is less likely to be after sex only, more likely lunch meetings and window shopping and comparing ailments.

Myself wants an activity partner for ALL activities, even ones I haven't thought of yet. Or just a partner who is active, and not de-activated.

As far as I can tell, it seems to refer to any and all of the possibilities given in the previous posts, depending on the person seeking an activity partner. It's fair enough if the person gives various physical or outdoor activities as part of their interests to assume that it refers to these but as others have said, what if the rest of their profile is blank? Actually, I once asked someone seeking an 'activity partner' and an otherwise blank profile exactly what activities they had in mind but it was obviously too stupid a question to merit an answer.
