I always thought it meant that y'all were gonna play cards or Yahtzee, or my favorite, Monopoly or some other board game... maybe take a walk and get coffee...then back to those games....and that's it.
To do some activity like going on an adventure trip like this...

When people list that they are looking for an activity partner what does that really mean?
activity partner does not mean sex.
