I do not like the rap music today, it is disrespectful, loud, obnoxious, and really offensive,,,,BUT>...

In the day..there was good jammin, with good ppl, like the Sugar Hill gang..and it was good and funky, you dint have to be crude to be cool..

I agree. As I have grown personally I prefer my music to have a positive influence on me and "Promiscuous Girl" does not do that for me nor " In the Club", etc....

The first rap song my sister allowed my nephew to actually listen to was The SugarHill Gang (I brought it for him on a CD)..."Now what you hear is not a test, I'ma rappen to the beat...." I still know every word and that was 1978 and I'm 48 now...thanks for the happy trip down memory lane

I love hip-hop back in the day I was probably into 3rd Bass, N2deep, 2 Live Crew and NWA. Today I keep it underground like Immortal Technique, Masta Ace, Papoose, Jedi Mind Tricks, Atomsphere, stuff like that.
