My best -
Beastie Boys in San Antonio at The Alamodome, (San Antonio Tex)
Rancid was one of the opening acts that night and I had a blast, HORRIBLE acoustics but the concert rocked, and MixMaster Mike is the bomb yo!
White Zombie/Filter - Austin Music Hall, (Austin,Tx)
I saw this show for free and had VIP access all night, (free drinks!) I've never been to a more energetic show with better circumstances. My friend and I were up on the blacony and we could see everything, then right before White Zombie started playing some guy showed and sat behind my friend and I with 3 insanely gorgeous women, who later were running their fingers through my hair while we were dancing/rocking out in front of them, the music and vibe was heavenly

The Crystal Method/Uberzone - Austin Music Hall
Yet another free show, and it was so completely awesome, same vantage point, just no random women this time

Cake/Carl Perkins/Soul Coughing - SXSW a few years back, Austin Music Hall again
What an amazing night, we actually collided with Sandra Bullock at that show, she bumped into our group and spilled her drink everywhere (oops)
Curve/Junkie XL - Liberty Lunch Austin Tx
If anyone has not ever heard Toni Hallyday's voice live, you're really missing something. Junkie XL really knows how to open up a gig too, they were frickin' unreal.
U2 on the Elevation Tour 2001 Austin and Dallas
What a crazy year, I saw the first show prior to 9/11, then saw them again in November, really amazing the differences between the 2 shows, and the overall feel of both concerts at the time.
Depeche Mode/Poe - Verizon Amphitheater Selma Tx
Poe actually came out to the audience and was serenading people left and right, she sounded amazing live as did DM.
Jars of Clay/Third Day - Church in San Antonio
I saw this right before Christmas last year, can't remember the name of the Church, but it was a trule amazing experience and the cool thing was that it was mostly all Christmas music, with only a handful of popular songs thrown in.
Tori Amos - The Backyard Austin Tx
3rd row and with a gorgeous woman who went with me, Tori is an amazing pianist and has a lovely voice, and it shined that night.

Eric Johnson - Austin Music Hall (man I miss that place now

Awe inspiring sound and music, and he thanks his band after practically every song too!
Ian Moore/Will Taylor Orchestra - Church on corner of Gaudalupe street/24th (known around Austin as "The Drag")
Unreal acoustic show, and I got to shake hands with Ian afterwards!
Don Walser - Threadgill's restaraunt South location
Man I miss Don, (He's since passed away

Geez, there's quite a few more, I have to say I've been extremely blessed and fortunate to have seen some amazing concerts (at least in my opinion, surely not everyone has my taste

The Worsts! -
Counting Crows - Austin Opera House
The sound for this show was AWFUL, whoever mixed it had WAY too much bass, so all I heard was a wall of mud and a hint of lyrics every now and then, it was so painful.
101x-Fest - Austin Music Hall
Filled with a TON of bands, all great acts as far as I was concerned....(I heard Modern English play Melt with You live after all)...problem is, the hall was packed, it was hot as hades in there, and the show lasted almost 16 hours it seemed. The main reason I went was for Gravity Kills, and by the time they came on I was so exhausted I couldn't even enjoy it, plus leaving the venue took FOREVER, it was just a harsh day in general.
Several Shows at the former SouthPark Meadows here in Austin Tx
They had some great acts come through there back in the day, but it was a logistical nightmare and next to impossible to hear and see what was going on most of the time due to how it was layed out.
One I remember in particular was Lenny Kravitz and Blues Traveler, it was an all day gig in the brutal Austin heat, and the overall atmosphere was very ugly, it was one of those shows that everyone in Austin went too just to say they went and brag to their friends, sadly, ALOT of the shows are like that now so I don't go to as many.

Luckily, the "best" ones stand out more than the ones I didn't enjoy as much, anyone else care to share their experiences?
