name Duran, but they're a good band.

They got their name from the 1968 Jane Fonda film, "Barbarella", named after the villian in the film, Dr. Durand Durand.

Jane Fonda was smokin hot in the opening sequence to Barbarella. When Kylie Minogue recreated the famous scene she was also smokin hot but nobody tops Jane Fonda.

Lol, i posted that as a joke. It was a Mike Myers sketch called 'Coffee Talk' with Linda Richman. That was one of my favorite Saturday Night Live skits, but it's good to know that people really do appreciate the music of Duran Duran.
