Hey, Man-O!
If you're getting acclamated to The Band, try to see their film, "The Last Waltz" . It was done as homage to their parting ways as a group. It is well done and packed w/ good music. There are many other music legends' performances within in it, from those they counted as dear friends.

I love the Last Waltz, but it also bothers me. The friendship between Robertson and Scorcese skews the film.

The Band was, as much as any group I can remember, a collaborative effort. You'd think Robertson was a one man show with the amount of face time he gets. If he was the man behind the music then how do you explain his solo career? He's never come close to writing anything as good.

I did like his first solo album. Methinks I best get you a couple of midday shots of ouzo. I'm sorry that I reminded you of so much pain.
