Always seen Madonna as kind of vulgar.

If she had depended on her voice and dance skills alone and not the soft, and sometimes not so soft, porn I think she would have been a has been a long time ago. The most complimentary thing I can say is enoough of her selections had a beat that made it possible to dance to.

What I will say she does know how to hire the right promoter and her publicity machine has kept her in the money.

Considering the number of kids she has I sure hope she has put a lot of her money in finacial trusts. I think they may have some major issues as they get into their pre-teens and older.

Back in the day - maybe Lucky Star and Borderline.

Nice songs

Damn! i'm old slaphead laugh

I was in my early 20's - 1982. All of the dance places were playing those songs at that time.

I was 10 in 82

I was born in '82 laugh

I do remember listening to some of my dad's tapes & he had some Madonna. Like a Virgin & Like a Prayer is all I know of her off the top of my head. Not my style & I don't much care for her either.

I keep trying to forget that decade. At least disco was dead by then.

Well, she GAGS me quite truthfully. I've NEVER liked her or her music!

BUT, ... La Isla Bonita ... ...

Will ALWAYS put me right back on that boat I sailed from Amsterdam to Eireland. A Treasured memory most precious was that. Can I help it that was what played? Good song, awful artist.

She is lucky to find William Orbit, the guy who makes the music for her, she would be nowhere without him.
