Look guys..if I knew how to do the link thing...trust me...I would.

But the bands that get my body jumping and my head banging...

Cherry Poppin Daddies....got a playlist of my favorites as long as my d*ck...I got a big d*ck.

Royal Crown Revue's "Bar Flies at the beach" avariant of Sing Sing Sing and the swing song from the Mask..."Hey Pachuco"

....actually, as I think about the great tunes.."Check book Daddy O" or "The Old Oak Tree"

..alot of the stuff by the Big Bad Voodoo Band.

and every song that Lee Press-On and the Nails did...(Thier version of Sing Sing Sing KILLS!!!!!)...

Duke Ellington..
Count Basie...

it occurs to me....back when notes were sharp...when the melodies hit...when the beats were spot on...and a minimum of screaming ...no distortion or reverb.....

that is music that just floats my boat.

but, then again ...so do the bands with too much distortion and reverb....

Old Punk....Sex pistols.
Calypso...Harry Belafonte'.
Reggea..Bob Marley or Peter Tosh.
Metal....Metallica's first album.

Damn it..I think I like pretty much all music that doesn't suck.

Fly me to the Moon is my FAVORITE Sinatra tune!!!!!

So...Music, I gotta say thank you....

the drum battle between Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich absolutely made my day!!!!! Those mother f*ckers got DOWN!!!!!!!

The Krupa vs. Lionel Hampton battle was really good too.

I was expecting to see where Gene Krupa got busted for pot but..was happily suprized.

You are my friend now you b@stard...deal with it.

My Dad was raised by Gene Krupa's family......kind of a soft spot for me.

Mr. Music, thanks for putting on Gene Krupa & Buddy Rich. I was a drummer in a Rock & Roll group in 1967/68, and both of them were my early idols. And it was so nice to meet a Krupa last year from this site. Life goes in circles.

I posted this once before on a completely different thread, but it bears repeating here.
