I'm so old, I remember when that was his current hit, back in the almost late 70's. Great song !!! drinker

(Come to think of it, I remember when "Hank Williams, You Wrote My Life" was Moe Bandy's current hit, and that was 1975.........)

I even remember who wrote the song, it was Sanger D. Shafer (a.k.a. Whitey Shafer), who had been Lefty Frizzell's songwriting partner.

No prob......I was a teenager back then, so I was around when it happened. I was already into country then, 'cause I've been rebelling against hippies since 1973.

Respectively Pete, that specific song reminds me of my niece and brother from like back sometime or at different points in 1998 which were actually almost spiritual in a sense..

It just shows how timeless that song is, 'cause it was over 20 years old then.........
