I watched a video for dandelion oatmeal cookies the other day. Do people really eat dandelions? I ate dandelions a few times as a kid as a dare, but I don't remember them being all that exciting.

Indeed they do.

I never have but I have experienced dandelion tea and it is delightful.

Aren't the stems really bitter?

I can't remember. It's been a long time since I ate them.

I think she cooked them, too, when she made greens.

Grandma always said that when eating dandylion greens its best to use the first ones in the spring so they are not bitter.

My iguana loves dandelions. They are readily available in the warm months to pick most anywhere. But I have seen them for sale in supermarkets and I have bought them in the winter months. So I guess somebody eats 'em if Wal-mart sells 'em.

I never ate them, but I know people do

I think the tea is a good blood cleanser

I'd like to try the wine...is it sold in the regular liquor store??

They weren't indigenous to this region until they were brought over on the mayflower. Dad made Brandy, grandmother made salad and the reason it's called dandelion is because the leave resemble lions teeth.

Yes,, I eat them all the time. I just go out on my lawn pick em and start eating them while I just stare out into space.

My neighbors really don't bother with me.. although I don't know why.
