2009 Marquette Area Blues Society Blues Fest Headliners Signed!

Another killer show has been booked for the 2009 MABS BLUES FEST - starting at 6:00 PM Saturday (9/5) with Biscuit Miller and the Mix, (Marquette audiences will remember Biscuit from his two previous festival appearances, playing bass for Anthony Gomes), followed by the up and coming, 2008 BMA "Best New Artist" Nominee - Gina Sicilia and finishing out the evening is the award winning James "Super Chikan" Johnson.

Again, Sunday (9/6) evening will see even more fantastic talent, starting with the Flint, Michigan based Maurice Davis - "The King of the Party Blues", followed by veteran bluesman Curtis Salgado, nominated for 4 BMA awards in 2009 and finally, finishing out the evening will be the legendary Alligator recording artists Smokin Joe Kubek and Bnois King.

I actually AM going to a couple of those shows. I think the idea was to put some things up so that if anyone was in an area, they could get with friends and perhaps go together.
