I am a HUGE Sammy fan regardless of his projects: solo, Van Hagar, etc.

I love him -- therefore, I dig Chickenfoot. smitten

Yeah. The talent pool in the band is pretty immense, from Sammy Hagar's vocals and song-writing, to Joe Satriani's guitar-playing and song-writing, to Chad Smith's drumming, to Michael Anthony's bass-guitar and background vocals.

From what I hear though, the album they just released is a competent effort, though a little stifled. Not only that, but some have also said that their performance on Conan O' Brien's show was less than stellar.

I have only heard their studio work. While I like it, I wouldn't say it blew me away. If they can keep it together long enough, I think they could do some interesting stuff.
