I was up in Fort Erie this weekend and ended up making the Friendship Festival in time to see The Trews play.

These guys are from Nova Scotia, here in Canada, but base out of Toronto like most bands on this side of the country. They've been on the radio for years here and I've always liked them but I know they aren't that popular.

So it's brothers Colin and John Angus McDonald (they look identical) bassist Jack Syperek and the drummer Sean Dalton. And Dalton did the coolest drum solo at the concert! I was well impressed.

To be totally honest here, I now have a wee voice crush on Colin though. He's got this raspy yelling voice and I've always been a fan. But he was literally DEAD ON the whole concert. On key, to the letter, and when they mixed "Tired of Waiting" with the Stones "You Can't Always Get What You Want" he killed it.

So I'm highly recommending them for anyone out there.

Duane, I think they're really tame for your usual. But truly, they were sooooo good live. I screamed like a retard!

Sidenote: Love outdoor concerts, the contact high I got off of all the joints being passed was amazing!

Should have seen me at Ozzfest, one hell of a contact high there and at the Disturbed concert!

I love outdoor concerts too, I went of Ozzfest and a few independent music concert out in Utah for all the local bands.

All in all I can't say I was wowed or anything. I did like Paranoid Freak and the vid was odd but in a funny way. I will say this though about the pic of the grp "Dam!! Those two in the middle got style!"
