calling all guitarists...

can you sweep pick?

if you can, i hate you laugh

ive been playing for a long time and i have been trying to teach myself this technique... i just cant get it...

help me!

Nah, i have never tried to learn it. I can get some pretty fast lead solos going anyway without it. Soloing aint about speed but a lot of people seem to think thats the key.

im trying to learn this... ive got most of it... but the sweeping is kicking my ***.

The key to sweeping is to synchronize left hand with right hand and imagine you were strumming for the chord but the notes are individual
if you practice about 1 hour each day by about two weeks you will get the hang of it

I can do some sweep picking, it takes alot of time.To get a smoother sound try using your neck pickup while you are doing sweeps.

I tried getting into sweep picking, but I am a bass player, I gave up about 3 minutes into trying it and decided to go back to practicing Victor Wooten's double thump technique.
