I'm just wondering what all you music addicts think of Pandora and the Music Genome Project...

I have two best friends who live off of it and now, so do I.

although I have friends who are a little elitist in their musical choices and find themselves not liking the lack of control as to what is played through pandora.

What do you think? have you tried it? do you like it?

go to pandora.com and check it out. its completely free.

and what it does is you create a station with a song or band you like. then it takes the qualities of the music, breaks it down, and finds similar music to introduce you to.

its a fantastic way to introduce you to new music.

there was a thread about pandora here couple years ago...
i enjoy it sometimes but i still prefer choosing and browsing
on myspace music or youtube

but it is sometimes nice to let someone else make
suggestions - that's what really "makes" the what are
you listening to now thread work so well

i don't know. it seems to me the "what are you listening to right now" thread has turned into a list. just a list. thats it. like i don't even go through and read it anymore.
