for several years i've been trying to find a song that seems un-findable! .i had it on a cd i bought that was of hits of the 70's.i'm not sure the name of the song or who sang it but it sounded kinda Folk-ish,even though it was a cd of rock songs and the artist sounded kinda like Jim Croche or James Taylor but i've gone through all of their songs and it's neither of them.
the only lyrics i remember are something about
Standing on the corner with my paycheck in my pocket that i haven't cashed yet (or something like that)
then he goes on to sing about being in a bar and buying a round for the house and then seeing a woman come down the stairs and dancing with her
it's bugging me trying to find it!
