what kind of cancer if i might ask....
how did u get it, and what kind of treatment?
my parents died of cancer, my mother lung, and my father colon.
i have a 50% or more chance of having colon cancer as it is a genetic thing. it starts as a flat thing, and turns into a polyp.
the stuff u drink is horrible, but it lights u up like xmas, and they can c it. of course, it is best if they put u 2 sleep and do all this, but i have read there is a blood test for a genetic marker now, so u don't have to glow in the dark.
however, they, my parents, both smoked and worked in the shipyards, so it could be asbestos/mesothelioma that was in their lungs. they were working during the war, and smoked all that time til they died. my mother at 75, and my father at 62. we never exepected...
then, my father worked with dynamite for DUPONT as a welder. we will never really know. his cancer, colon, was very rare, 25 years ago.

drinking the stuff is not that bad, its flavored now like tropical and stuff, you just have to drink alot of it. The Xray is easy, just alittle closterphobic, so I close my eyes and go to my happy place. Ive had so many MRI's and crap now, non of it bothers me anymore. I have my blood work done twice a month, and chemo once a month, so im like a human pincusion. I didnt get a port, I have big thick healthy veins for days, and they wanted to put it right where my dragon tattoo is.....NO WAY. Im not losing that too. I had a masectomy on the right side, so yeah im lopsided...LOL...and am actually considering a big tattoo insted of reconstruction, because of all of the dangers and skin graphs....FORGET THAT TOO. Here lets take some skin off your azz or thighs to make a boob. NO. And I would not even consider an implant. So I use a prothesis for day, and am looking at getting something outrageous tattooeed there when im able, and that wont be for some time. Im only 6 months into a year of chemo, and than I have to get radiation afterwards. So far im doing REALLY GOOD they say im super strong!!!!Thats because I have a great support system called MIngle2...hee hee. And they are ALWAYS THERE FOR ME!!!
And of course Robbi and Boogie!!!When I first got diagnoised, my roomate Chuck helped me alot too!! He was very supportive.
