Let me make one more point. On Disney channel she is Hannah Montana. She is a disney brand. On stage as Miley Cyrus, she IS in fact a teenage girl who is trying to find who she is just like we've all been at one point. I'm certainly not president of her fan club, but I've seen much worse lately and there could be and WILL be much worse. Hello, didn't little miss high school musical show her muff in pictures she took for Zac Efron(sp?)? Again I mention Lady Gaga, then there's (though I like her and is fine for adults) Britney Spears. I can't even let my nephew listen to the full Nickleback album because any song that hasn't made it to radio isn't ALLOWED to be on radio. The same goes for many other artists right now. As long as she's making music that I can let him listen to without worrying about cussing or him learning things he's not ready to know yet, I'm all for her.
She seems to have actually been pole dancing on an ice cream tray, I stand corrected.
My point was BECAUSE her fan base mostly comes from the DISNEY viewers, her performance may have gone a bit off course with the image they have been supporting in the past(a more disney , conservative image). AS far as the pole dancing,,no, at 16 I really WASNT dancing that way, but I guess I can agree that times have changed as well as what has become accepted for teens and children. I believe she has EVERY right to do what she wishes, my question was more about whether she had gone very far off the type of performance her fans may be expecting from her. It would kind of be like Taylor swift singing a song about casual sex. It would be her right, but it would be off of the image I think they have been trying to create and the 'values' they typically represent in their music and performances.
Let me add that I always wish young people the best, my question wasnt to put her down, it was to question the judgment of her HANDLERS.
