I love The Doors ...but Jim Morrison was a lousy poet. So...throw stuff at me.....:tongue:

His "poetry" book Wilderness is awful. Then they published a sequel...Wilderness two. It was even worse. If you don't believe me...read em'. You'll see.

After he died the remaining Doors did an album called An American Prayer. It was them playing over Jim reading his poetry. Sounds like bad porno music. :tongue:

Jim Morrison lived in a reality that thankfully we only viset now and then.I agree most of his poetry wasn't great but I will always love his music.

I jokingly say I don't like The Doors because they didn't have a bass player, heh. Being that I play the bass, so have to say that about them. But yeah, lyrics weren't to my liking either but I don't follow poetry well regardless.
