songwriter/performer of the rock era is Bob Dylan. He's second only to Lennon/McCartney as the most covered of all. Sadly youtube no longer has any Dylan studio songs and precious few decent live recordings. So.... I thought I'd dedicate a thread to Dylan covers. They range from the awful (Johnny Cash - It Ain't Me Babe) to possibly the finest cover ever recorded. I'll start with that one...

I'm not sure who did this song first, but Dylan certainly did a version, and Manfred Mann did a great cover...

It is Dylan. He wrote it when he was jamming and writing with the Band in the basement of "The Pink House"
