As a big fan of classic rock I just bought the best of the Animals CD and it is awesome! The first time I heard ''house of the rising sun" it just blew my mind with the haunting lyrics and organ rift.Bring it on home to me is another great classic as is We gotta get ot of this place,Story of Bo Didley, etc.Besides house of the rising sun does anybody know if the Animals had any other bigger hits?If there are any men or women out there who know of this legendary group I would like to hear from you!Enlighten me,educate me on the Animals!Any reply is appreciated. In the meantime,I gotta get out of this place!!

The Animals rock. Haha. Pretty much everything they ever did was awesome. Eric Burdon is one of the coolest vocalists of rock history. One of the only guys who can pull off Ray Charles covers.

The Animals were the most faithful to the blues out of all the first wave British invasion bands. The Stones were initially a blues and R&B band, but once they made it out of the Crawdaddy they went for more chart friendly music.

If you like the the way the Brits did the blues you should check out the Yardbirds. Clapton, Beck, and Page all were in the band at one point or another.
