Props for you for trying. Journey is a "journey" to try to sing if you know what I mean!

I like singing the Clash, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Cake, The Doors, The Yardbirds, Cream... just to name a few. I have sung some girly songs in the likes of Barbie Girl. I asked an Army buddy of mine who is eating sand for breakfast, if he was there to see me sing, what would he want me to sing, and Barbie Girl was his reply. It was a humbling experience, but not as bad as I thought it would be. I have sung "Girls Just Want to have Fun" and "Get this Party Started".

I even clap for the drunk guys and the groups of barbies who sing 'touch myself' for the thousandth time out of sync.

I am a happy addict and i scare everyone when I get my big butt on stage and sing songs like 'Talk Dirty To Me' and 'Folsom Prison Blues'. I don't even need to drink.

I quite honestly do not know how I made it through 26 years of no Karaoke. At least I have three years to cherish, and more to come! Glad to see I am not the only one addicted to Karaoke. I go 2-3 times a week! I also keep track of the songs I sing and try at least four new songs a week. I also make sure to get the show thirty minutes early, just so I can be at the top of the first rotation.

I love to sing! I catch myself singing most songs, if i know them of course, where ever im at, sometimes at work, at home, walking, so if i ever get into karaoke i really get into it because you just hear the songs that you want to hear and sing from the heart

So who wants to get a group together and sing this? With enough alcohol, I'd do it. ROFL

I have been known as one before, and LOVE Karaoke.
Besides you have to give props to the people that get up there. EVEN if they couldn't carry a tune of it had a handle.
I sing mostly country
Dixie chicks, Mary chapin carpenter, Lorrie Morgan, Reba. But I also sing (I love rock n roll, manic monday,etc.) as well as a few other "oldies"

Torture is listening to a Japanese businessman who barely speaks english mutilate the songs you know word for word. On the other hand, there are others who have trouble with english, but are spot on as soon as you put a mic in front of them. It's a crap-shot.

As for myself, some friends turned me on to karaoke a couple years ago, and I've loved it ever since.

I feel the exact same way. I take it as a personal challenge to sing hard songs that go fast. I'm not a huge country fan, but I'm one of the few who can sing 'down at the twist and shout' by Mary Chapin Carpenter. I take my Kareoke very seriously.

My First song was "Peaches" by the Presidents of the USA.

I have 3 songs that I sing better than any other....Follow Me by Uncle Cracker, Don't Know WHy by Norah Jones & Telephone Man by Meri Wilson. I've never heard anyone ever sing the Meri Wilson song but me, lol

KAREOKE FOR ME TONIGHT BABY!!!!

Yay! I went out too. Had fun taking advatage of an off night, to sing to my hearts comtempt. I really stepped out of my comfort zone by attempting "Party Up" by DMX. That song was onther request from my Army buddies in Iraq right now. I suriously screwed it up, but people cheered and helped me when I sang it. Plus more people singned up for songs after I made a complete fool of myself.

Lol I completely understand. I tried to sing the duet "Time of My Life", by myself! Let's just say I sounded like Cybil on Crack.

Aww. I would have helped you out with the duet if I were there.
