I love Joss Stone...she has a wonderfully sultry voice. "Tell Me What We're Gonna Do Now" is one of my faves...but all of her music is great!

'Elbow' is a wonderful band. Their sound is like a musky sounding Cold Play. Very good Chill music. I would suggest thier 'Asleep in the Back' album.

If you want some 'background' music with a 'tug at your ear- listen to me' twist, 'Hybrid' would be a great choice. This group is more of a synthesizer and low bass mix but easy to listen to. Any album is great, but I like 'Wide angle.'

And one more for good measure:

If you're driving home from work and you had a 'so-so on the bad side' day. I would suggest 'A Perfect Circle.' The singers tone can be so legato (google it) and easy to sing to. Any album is great.

Thanks! I've seen Hybrid before . Good choice. I'll check out the others, too.

Thanks everyone else for your suggestions as well.

Depends on what kinds of music you're into. I listen to everything, but here are some of my favorites:

Maximum the Hormone:heart: (J-rock), Zebrahead (Rap Metal), Amy Winehouse (jazz), Breaking Benjamin (Rock), Reel Big Fish (Ska), Pink (pop), Bright Eyes (Acoustic Alternative), and Butch Walker (Alternative Pophuh ).

If you have more of a specific genre then I could help you a little more.

helixis, I purposefully didn't specify a type of music, because I'm looking for more than just one thing.
