Well, I listen to metal, rock, and stuff like that...
I am a songwriter, so I am most drawn to songs with some message or which inspire emotion. I listen mostly to r and b , blues, rock and roll, classic rock , and funk.
Most hit songs are hits because of the songwriters writing talent, not the singers singing talent,,,

Algerie, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, Evanescence, Dance with Me
Bryce ft. CarlPrit, Escape the Fate - Situations and a variety of
other contemporary songs...but I have a very wide range of music that
I enjoy.

and some dixie chicks cuz they're awesome

i listen to hardcore mostly. lamb of god, parkway drive,as i lay dying, all that remains, august burns red, etc.
country, rap, rock, r&b mostly.
I like all sorts of music. I really like songs I can have some sort of connection with, and some because they're just so freakin catchy, lol.
They say music soothes the soul, I believe that. When I'm down I have songs I like to listen to that make me thing, or help me let it all out. When I'm feeling good I have songs that keep me going.
I listen to all kinds of music, literally; there's something from every genre in my collection. However, the music that gets my soul the best is classic rock. I grew up listening to those songs, and I still love them.
My dad introduced me to Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, the Doors, and the Doobie Brothers when I was little. I learned the Beatles, Dylan, CSN and Zeppelin listening to the classic rock radio stations when I was growing up.
Dad's band did a lot of what is now considered classic country... I like that stuff too... the outlaws mainly - Merle, Johnny, Waylon, Willie and the boys.
Mom listened to Motown so I guess I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the Temptations, the Supremes and the Four Tops.
I could go on and on... so maybe I'll stop now before I really get on a roll... :)
