Synyster Gates, Keith Urban (surprisingly), and Dave Grohl (He can kill it on drums and guitar)
keith urban is amazing - not at all surprised - we were talking mostly rock n roll on here but really I listen to more C&W

a lot is a matter of preference but I tend to favor EVH, Hendrix & Satriani not just because of their playing but also the influence they have had

The "normal" names have already been listed. Hendrix, Van Halen, Satriani, Clapton, Slash, Johnson, Vai, etc. I'll name one most don't ever talk about, and that is Richie Sambora. Guy is smooth, and while he may not be the very best, he is still damn good.

hell yea! Synyster Gates!!! And I always thought Dave Grohl was a better guitarist than Kurt Cobain, anyway.
