Absolutely. The Bible tells me how to stay away from burning in Hell and that a place is prepared for me in Heaven if I do the right things. Those are listed in the Bible. I also note that Every religion has some notion of their spirit living on.

Talking of the human spirit, death actually occurs when the the immaterial spirit departs the material body.
Oh how we humans fail to take advantage of the latent powers of the human spirit.
The human spirit is our higher self,our mentality (mind , brain ,) are actually our lower self.
Most people live by only their mentality ignoring the perfect guidance offered by the human spirit.
If the human spirit instructs our mentality always then we will be far from errors. It a tough call.
For over ten years now I have been researching the human spirit .
I think the Bible provides the most accurate ,in-depth look at this. I have read other texts like the spiritual Man by watchman Nee.
I have experienced astrals projections where my immaterial human spirit left my body and returned to it after undertaking a task.
Every time I heed the guidance of my human spirit I don't lose. I am still learning to master it.
The human spirit can let you know the outcome of future events in the present and you profit from it.
I was able to predict the winner of last FIFA soccer world cup using my human spirit two weeks before the finals. I made thousands of dollars from it. It's a tough but highly rewarding path to follow .There are other examples. I am still learning.
Finally,the spirit is eternal-never dies.
It's the body that dies. The spirit lives on when it departs the body -the body stops breathing!

Wisdom to remove the delusions that interfere with living in harmony and finding inner peace.

A person can still be alive with cognitive function disabled.
That life without thinking is a process of the body's involuntary reflex.
You can hold your breath till you pass out but once you do, you automatically start breathing again. Like a heartbeat, the brain does it automatically (if it still can).
Its like eating but trying not to go to the bathroom - you can't do it.

Your brain is you. Everything that makes you, you happens in your brain.
If that brain no longer functions, you are no longer there. You might still be alive but there is no "you".

Since the process that maintains your sense of you happens in the chemical-electrical signals inside your brain when they stop, you stop.
There isn't an after-image that remains, there is no function to continue creating the you. No memories can be accessed, no feelings felt, no new experiences to be recorded as new memories. None of your senses can function without your brain. You don't see anything, hear anything, smell anything or feel anything ever again.
Death stops it all, forever.
No input/No output.

Any feelings or beliefs ya might have about it are delusional fantasies.

There is a type of genetic memory and instinct that can manifest to make you feel reincarnation occurs. Its a baseline coding in chromosomes that you can feel separate from your brains cognitive abilities.
However, that sense is not a sense that is purposely preserved in all generations and one pattern of arrangement you might feel may not be present in all your offspring. However, the chaotic nature of chromosomal memory means some offspring someday may feel distinct similarities that may make that individual feel they lived experiences recorded into your chromosomes in this life. As long as they were imprinted before you reproduced. Any reincarnated memories that are associated with a lifetime after reproduction are associations by similar assessment based on inherited traits.
You might feel you know how you died in another life but you really don't, you only think you do.

I actually did pass away... for about 3 minutes.. but it felt longer because it was chilly there.

I clearly remember walking down a tunnel towards a light, it got brighter and warmer a I got closer. It was comforting.
