I was reading about Heidi Klum And the tattoo that she has of Seal [Ex-husband] So my question was , Would you get someone's name tattoo on you or not? , There's always a risk of ending up with unwanted ink if things don't work out And if they do ... well you get to keep it :)

My ex BEGGED me to get his name put into my tattoo. We were married at the time. And even then I said no. (Of course, it was kind of going downhill even then, so maybe that's why). But no...I don't think I would. But you never know...maybe one day I'll meet that person whose name I won't mind having on me forever, even if we don't work out. It's possible I guess.

I doubt is an easy thing to do , Like I don't think I would But like you said You never know , It's possible ... My ex and I talked about it and I'm glad we didn't lol

If you have someone's name tattooed on you, only date a person with that name, or make them change their name to match the tattoo.

I would never get a tattoo because they were permanent identification marks according to law enforcement. As a free spirited person who loved to hitch hike I didn't need one more reason to be identified and frisked without my consent.

I would never get a celeb's name tattooed on me either- I've seen fans have a celeb autograph on their body, then have it permanently inked...there are celebs who I thought were cool 20 years ago, that I can't stand now.

As someone who has done quite a bit of tat design and still am practical enough to have actually paid attention to tattoos and age progression.....

Lettering on skin ages poorly. (unless it is huge lettering)

Symbols and figures can age well when done right.


I do not believe that lettering or dates in any form belong in a great tattoo. I always try to talk them out of it. That is simply my preference and dont hold anyone else to it.


Then again, when I actually draw what I like to draw...naked women, I rarely draw tattoos on them.
