Only a very short time, but an eternity in no mail, no answers at all, or totally insane mail from the kids that could be my grandsons.
My feelings about this unspoken "rejection" are rather turbulent such as - "how can anybody pass up somebody like me? A treasure in every way, etc., etc."
I often wonder what makes people stay for years. Is is hope? Is is the thrill before you open the site that this time there will be a MAIL from a marvelous person?
What makes us stay????
It's the friendships that we develop with others on the threads that keeps us here. The new people who join that we can get to know, people that we would never have had the opportunity to meet.
