Your creation is a work of art Johhny.
Anything goes when you walk into an art gallery these days. I like to frequent now and then our downtown art gallery. Let me describe one artist's works and is called, classified as art:
The art is when the enter the door, it is the whole room that is the artpiece created:
You enter through a door and into a room where the lighting is set with special effects using color and lowly lite. In the background music and an audio is playing in relation to the whole room which the room is "the exhibit" or piece of art or artwork. The walls have twelve evenly spaced wood framed panels with wall space inbetween. The heights and widths of all are two and a half feet wide by, from the floor up, six feet high. Every second insert, inside the panel is replicated with a real military long gun with bullets in it. Inside the second set panels are are an image of a young boy poverty stricten in rags with large sad looking eye that seem to penetrate and pierce your heart. The quiet background music is of guns firing and bombs exploding, the audio is of a voice of the child whose image is in every second panel. The child's small empty lifeless voice is telling a story of how he is left alone and separated from his family and thinks they are all dead.
- This is classified as art ... wow, I was taken away when I started to see this a couple years back in our city art gallery classified as art ... like I said anything goes. Art has taken on forms of all sorts in our time and age. On another floor or larger room hosts the traditional paintings of various mediums. In the next gallery you will find sculptures, the next a collection of photography equipment from all ages exhibited in a stylish manner with snaps inbetween the years. This too is an art exhibit and the way it is presented is called "art". The exibihit rooms of the whole art gallery change every month or so. They is always new art being brought in and out, always something to view that is new.
Johnny call yourself an artist for if you do not, I will.
I was doing my taxes this week and I came across a new tax break for families for the province I live in. Families can now claim 15% of their children's enrolement expenses in the field of the arts relating to music for example one on one lessons, group lessons, summer camps where the afternoon deals with music ...
In our city over the last ten years or so and growing is the flourishing and continuous promotion of the arts ... the many forms and of for all ages such as an opera theatre, symphony theatre, live arts performance theatres, new art gallery and soon to be new museum, 3D movie theatres and many venues of bands and concerts, festivals .... I live in an arts loving city.
I play a few instruments, love to sing, make up tunes with one of my instruments and sing songs of my own creation; do not record nor write it down just for fun and basically for enjoyment.
I like to paint with watercolors, do crafts, make my own greeting cards, change my color schemes (accent pieces) in my home for a fresh change along with changing by re-upholstering few pieces of furniture a two seater couch and footstool .... I like to flower patio garden and miss having a yard for gardening and to me is a form of art using creativity in design of colors of various plants for a pleasant outdoor environemnt to sit and relax in.
Art to me is letting your creativity within flow outwards into the world, or your living space.
