I enjoy carving cats into wood, and am trying deer antler for the first time. anyone have ideas on carving antlers,bleaching, maintenance, ect.?

i carve and do inlay on walking sticks. All i can think of is bleach or a " pivkled " wiping stain

70% peroxide cleans bone well enough, not sure about antler though... Don't even know where to find antler (except for the obvious) lol
