This is my first time doing something like this online so no way am I giving out my cell number. It has nothing to do with dodging or lying or not being interested. It has to do with living alone and looking out for my physical and mental well-being. If you want to know if I am real we'll arrange to meet someplace we both know how to get too. I don't need to call you for directions. If you can't make it or you are running late, it's a public place with a phone. Call them and leave me a message.

Same here. I will confess that my results have been quite mixed on this site. However there is another dating site that I've been using, and met some great women.

I pretty astute at weeding out the catfish and scammers after talking online a few times. In those instances where I feel there is a real connection, I give them my cell phone number, or call them on theirs if it is offered.

It's a good way to ascertain if you are dealing with the right gender, age range, and other details that might not be discernible via email and texting alone.

No offense, but you don't have to give up your phone number to do that. Just use Skype or some other online video chat. That way you can actually **see** a real person who matches the online photo.

Yeah, but some of us are using an older desktop computer that doesn't have a camera for video chatting..
And I sure as heck am not going to buy one..don't need one...

Can do it with many cellphones too. As long as it has internet, you don't have to reveal your phone number.

I get those messages frkm time to time. First ghing ok do is google the number. If it says anything about a viop service then i useually just report and block. Other than that th ed only way to contact me is thru the site or app. And then we meet in a public place we are both comfortable with.

Never had the picture search work out for me. But in have learned to spot a lot of them on sight.

I can really understand both sides though why you would do both because it is very hard on this site more to see who is real and who is not, but the more time that goes by you can for sure see who isn't quicker.

I think it is better to find out how a person is before giving phone numbers straight away to a complete stranger.

just give them a ig account..the app is great for video and voice chats and you never give away your number plus you can block them
