It's basically about letting go of ego, fear of abandonment etc., forced monogamy has nothing to do with true love at all. A partner doesn't become your property when he/she gets in a relationship, he/she should be free to choose to stay the partner, every day again and again, for as long as it feels good. That's true love. Not till death do you part (that is just based on fear again and BS that's been rammed down our throats for centuries).
