Through critical thinking. Lack of observable evidence and some dubious historical texts

I am and proud of it. You all know athiests are more intellectual than those who believe in God. And those that believe are prejudice individuals. For them to not believe in other popular stories like Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, tooth fairy and the such. All I know is I hope before too many years or decades go by, people will start to seriously wonder, ask questions, then open their eyes and realize there's no way, just no way there is that God in the bible. Now I believe the bible is a very valuable resource that teaches how we all should treat others, respect our parents, not steal, etc. but God needs to be completely removed from the equation. I believe it is and always will be known as the biggest SCAM on the human race.

Do others find slim pickings when an atheist/agnostic world view is a requirement in their partner choice?

Guess that leaves us as the un chosen ones:banana:

When I was a kid I asked a lot of questions, and never accepted "argument from authority". No one could provide any evidence or convincing arguments to support most religious beliefs, so I remained skeptical.

I wonder what would have happened if I'd known some theologians as a kid. With enough convoluted rhetoric, they might have confused me into being a believer.

I agree with what you say,but beware of people with strong faith in the supernatural.I have had some very unpleasant consequences as a result of their judging ways.

I was surrounded by theology, and it had the opposite effect.I guess I was just born to question authority...

It was something I was surrounded by as a kid.I went to Catholic schools, and was taught by the clergy, and laymen both. I was lucky to have an instructor who taught me to question everything...He was later fired, but had a large influence on me..

Yes.

Religion is just a crutch for weak minded people IMO.

Religions change through time to suit the needs of the people. Well, in order to keep them under control. Don't do this or God will spite you.

It takes all the burden off of the individual to control themselves. It's Gods will.

You can do what you want because God forgives you.

All I know for sure is that I know nothing at all about a creator, except for what has been proclaimed to be true by people who wander around the desert a lot...I've wandered around deserts a lot myself....

some of those bible tales are pretty good, but another good source is the guy known as "the Bard" ....He covered human nature pretty well...
