This was the first thing I learnt: I have learned that one needs to have proverbial "thick skin" in order to survive on this site.
Meaning I usually switch to sort of 'bit(h mode' here, lol.

Learnt that I can enjoy 'bit(h mode', even though it's not really me.

And learnt quite a lot about Americans. Which is interesting as my daughter has moved to the States.

Learnt that it's oh so easy to get miscommunication, esp with more in depth subjects.

From which I learnt most ppl are just here to have lighthearted fun.

From that I learnt not to take the online dating thing - and Mingle - too serious.

And learnt that there are some real gems here, very sweet and caring ppl

I've learned that it's possible to break up with someone that you weren't dating.

I understand, what I mean is not to a tee, reactions etc. But yes you are right. It does feel less isolating.

one of the things i have learned here, is that no matter what beachfarmer is talking about, half of us ask, what the hell is he talking about!!!?

i've also learned that every 2.3 days someone will ask if distance is a factor in relationships.

another thing i have learned is that people always say they want the truth, but when you give it to them in plain and simply fashion, they usually don't likev it.

what have you learned here?

I have also learnt that distance is a factor in long distant relationships when one party can not be trusted. Its all good if trust is there.:smile:
