Worked like a charm! Although my hands weren't too happy about cutting through 9 meters of garden hose. But it's done!
I got the cable hidden for as much as is possible now. And I think it makes it to the socket in the shed even, without an extension cord. Not sure yet, as I cannot get to the socket, yet. I have to get some chit out of the shed first, lol. Stuff from the garage got dumped in there when my ex came over to help do up the garage. As that was never finished off, lots of stuff is still stacked up in the shed. Literally blocking the doorway. But I'm gonna clear it out, so I can at least plug in my waterfall. Thank you so much for that tip, wonderful!
Saved me from buying something, spending more money, and I am really glad I never chucked the old garden hoses, haha. Got another two, lord knows what they're going to be good for in the future

GRRRREAT; I use hose pieces for cushions around trees that I have to stake back with nylon string to pull &/or support from our KS winds and pulling them back from the wrong directing that they start to lean into. Keeps the nylon from cutting into the bark.

Also that hose makes a great outline/pattern for any future landscape flower bedding idea's that I might have...gives me a better idea of area/sq feet before I start digging!

Hihi, I have used them for outlining flower beds and garden paths too!
We got strong winds here as well, but I haven't got trees in my garden. But very smart thinking!

Oooh...I saw that fire pit idea too...want one soooo bad! Just don't think that I have it in me to manage all those 4x4 posts setting them in concrete...UGH

I did do that leaf mold project though; I used my elephant ear calcium leaves as my mold...they were huge...and grow in several sizes. But all of those ideas would look super in Crystals magic garden!

Thank you, 2Old... I was making a clip yesterday, walking around my garden. Maybe I'll post it on YouTube and stick the URL here. Wondering what your garden looks like though!

@ IAm, the firepit place is wonderful! And I think I have just about enough wood to make it. I got some serious beams sitting in the garage, got them for free last year, from ppl that were moving house and needed it gone. (Had help for that, I didn't lift a finger, lol)
But ... same problem as 2Old, no way can I get those in the ground, digging holes, concrete etc. sad
If I could, I would've made something like that. I know how to, but can't physically.
I don't think I can even get a bag of concrete home :/

Today I got the waterfall in my garden running. It's not finished yet,
lots of rocks to hump round still, and basically just finish it off,
make it look nice. The idea is to get some plants around it too.
But at least it's running. And I LOVE the sound! It's wonderful!

If I hadn't bashed my knee really hard just now, I would be perfectly happy.
SO I prolly won't be working on it any time soon tears

I added a little tableau that I've had for years, never finished that off
either, lol. But it seemed to sort of fit there. Not sure if it'll
stay there though. And I put two tiny lighthouses around the left area.
Can't help myself, I like that sort of thing, haha

Your waterfall is going to be awesome Crystal, seeing and hearing it!  ...I love the leaf stepping stones,I might try that one myself!!... smitten

Thanks, Leigh! And good luck with the leaves!
If ever I was to start doing stuff with concrete, I'd go for this, wanted that for as long as I've lived here, and it would go SO well with my garden!

ANd this is really nice as well:

But yeah, it would mean getting a lot of heavy things in, the pebbles, concrete/cement, mixing that (not got the tools for that either)...
Plus it would cost an arm and a leg...

love Those are "magnifique'...!!...But I'm afraid creating them would take more artistic ability than god gave meohwell ...You, on the other hand, would not have a problem... ...I have similar concrete stepping stones in my garden, but they are made to look like tree trunk "slices" and they came with the house so I can't take credit, haha...This year I put in a chimenea patio heater and had my deck power washed and painted...Also replacing mulch with beige and pink tone quarry gravel...I'm going to use newspaper in place of landscape fabric because it is biodegradable!...Got the idea from someone who posted it on FB...

WOW...those images of the spiral path made with stones is so AWESOME...I've painted a few after the concrete was poured & cured but that is just gorgeous!

While I agree that this 'IDEA' sounds great the sad fact is that 'NEWSPAPER' is what worms love and that will disappear within a few weeks/months and then you'll have weeds/grass growing where you didn't want it too! Unless you don't have earthworms...it might last a wee-little longer!

I've been shredding my newspapers up and putting them in my huge 6'x 4' compost pile --- it attracts the earthworms into that pile and they do all the mixing of the soil/straw/old potting soil for me!

Bummer to hear this!...Have you tried it yourself?....I've been reading up on it and it says the more layers of newspaper, the better...Also says it should solve the weed problem for as long as 2 to 3 years...I bought my house 7 years ago and I have been pulling up landscape fabric ever since...grumble ...What happens is the mulch degrades and you end up with a perfect enviornment for weeds...They grow on top of and into the fabric...It's a mess!!...I'm going to give the newspaper a shot, feel like I've got nothing to lose at this point cause my weeds are out of control:cry: ...When I wet it down, I'm also going to apply a good weed killer...Don't know if it will help, but figure it cant hurt...The plantings are well established so I don't think the chemicals will bother them..Wish me luck!!..

Leigh, you will still have that problem. And yes, newspapers will rot away real fast. I am using cardboard at the mo, that lasts a bit longer. Best is to get cardboard (boxes from supermarket) without ink and of course remove the tape. I'm using thick cardboard.
Newspaper will get a lot of ink in the soil too ... not very environmentally friendly ...

In my garden it just needs to stay there to kill off the grass underneath. you will always get stuff growing in between stones, or on the cardboard/landscaping fabric/or whatever you use.

This year I got a horsetail plague. Lord knows where they came from, but it is a true pest! And not easy to get rid of, as you never get the entire root out so the poxy chit just grows back. And it is literally everywhere, in the gravel patio growing on the landscaping fabric, in between plants, stones, and the wood bark chips. Just everywhere, and a whole lot of them. The only thing that will work is either pesticides or boiling water. Pesticides will kill it, boiling water is temporary, but not too bad. I managed to kill quite some patches of grass with it.

But this weeding is getting up my nose ... got a total of 225 meters square, bit too much for me on my own :/ It's a full time job

I've been invaded with 'Cat's Paw'; invasive - horrid spreading green weed that smells like cat urine when I'm trying to pull it out! UGHHHH

I'll agree with you Leigh about the weed seeds/tree sapling growing into my mulched area --- I've found that running a rake over those places and turning the mulch over {stirring it up} helps keep those weeds from becoming root established} and some of the Vinegar mixture >>>

But this year I'm done using that horrid 'Round Up'; not only expensive but highly deadly to all my other plantings...

1 gal of white vinegar
2 cups of Epson salts {diluted in real warm water = 4 cups}
 cup of blue dish soap {Joy}

Put this into my weed sprayer pump jug and sprayed the heck out of a test area; so far so good! No harm to the birds/dogs/stray cats or my squirrels that I feed - it hasn't harmed all the variety of grasses I've planted and I'm getting rid of the really bad ant problem too!

And I agree completely about the 'YARD BOY' = how about 'NICK'

Just the vinegar you use for cleaning, so NOT the stuff you use in foods, will do. 1/3 of that to 2/3 water.
But you have to be careful, cos it does bleach clothes, paint, dry out your skin --> Marigolds!!! (it'll even ruin your Marigolds) and wear sunglasses to protect the eyes. You do NOT want this in your eyes.
Stinks for a few days, but does work.
You can also use that to get rid of green algae /moss on walls and fencings. You don't have to scrub. Just rub it on with a sponge, leave it. Preferably when the sun is on it. 1 day and it's all gone.
But don't use it on painted /stained stuff, as it will bleach that.

Of course it will kill beastie too, also the good ones, but yeah.. so does Roundup I think. ANd boiled water.
Many cities over here use boiled water only these days. Completely environmentally friendly, yet kills as good as any pesticide, as stuff always grows back after some time anyways.
If you add potatoes to it, boil them for about half an hour and use that water, even better. Nightshade (tomato, potato, tobacco etc) kills too.

Couple of photos I took when I went into town last week...

The cute little building is where I always go to have my hair cut  Best hairdresser in town as far as I'm concerned.

We do have cars, transportation is not usually by horse and cart  Suppose it was a tourist thing, we get lots and lots of tourists.
The building to the left with the archways used to be a trade fair hall.

The cobblestone section to the right is the market square

The building that used to house important officials, judge, warden, and was used as court and prison as well.

Walking from parking to town centre

Backs of some town shops. Never noticed they look funny, obviously on a slope, which you don't really notice when you walk there.

Just another street in town. Not many shops there, but it looks pretty.

In my own village:
We have a lot of campsites and holiday home parks. This is one of the holiday homes in a park close to me. Stupid design if you ask me, haha.
