Like many other countries women will try leaving for a I won't say better but a different way of life. Many marring and sending money home to feed their families.

Most of the ones I've met in travels with seasonal work have come to this country for that reason Mikey... To either marry or work, and most of them are sending money home to their families. I've met quite a few Filipinos, they are some of the sweetest people I know. :heart:

I've been to Cebu and even up to the fort there. It was cool and beautiful and yeah there were a lot of women, a lot. :wink:

Explains why they are trying to get out of there. When I was in Australia everyone said that thousands of Philippine women try to buy their way into the country by marrying an Australian.
They offered themselves via advertisements, and offering to pay Australian men to marry them.

This is the case in most countries crystal. When I worked for the Dutch company many of the older guys had philipine wives, mostly a lot younger than themselves, but hey each to their own!
Rarely do they pay for marriage, only when they are trafficked.
It's similar to people from small town's moving to a city for a better life.

with a 1,700 islands i'm sure you'll enjoy staying in my country.

when someone says "more fun", my response is - compared to what?...in my travels, Brazil has been more fun than any other country I have visited...so my response is - not in my opinion for me...

but to each his or her own...
